В 1992г. продукция концерна Embraco была сертифиацирована в соответстви со стандартом ISO 9001, а также запущено производство компрессоров для хладагентов без содержания хлора.

EMBRACO Brazil, Italy and Slovakia have received the ISO 14001 certification, granted by BVQI – Bureau Veritas Quality International, what assures that the manufacturing process of compressors and components – what in Brazil includes the Foundry – follow standards that are in accordance to environmental management.

However, certification is not everything. The organization keeps a constant watch on the EMS – Environmental Management System in its effort to minimize negative impacts and continually improve environmental conditions, while showing its concern with the eventual impact on the communities around it and demanding that its suppliers also apply the same practices.

The EMS also foresees environmental education activities developing in school communities in Joinville and Itaiópolis, in Brazil, though programs such as the Embraco Ecology Award and others focused on the internal public, with the objective of making them aware of the importance of recycling rubbish, reducing energy and water consumption as well as the amount of residues.
